Everything starts with a design
Everything starts with an idea
MARCO SHOES Sp. z o.o. is carrying out a project co-financed by European Funds under the European Funds for Mazovia 2021–2027, Measure 2.6 Circular Economy programme.
Project implementation period: 01.11.2026–31.12.2027
Project objective
The objective of the project is to permanently reduce the consumption of primary raw materials, particularly natural leather and auxiliary materials, reduce the amount of production and post-consumer waste, and extend the life cycle of footwear through repairs, renovation, re-use and recycling.
What will we implement?
As part of the project, we will implement:
- GOZ ERP system supporting the planning and optimisation of material consumption, the recording of waste and secondary raw materials, and the monitoring of energy consumption,
- GOZ sales system integrated with the online shop, including a size configurator that reduces returns, repair and renovation services, and a second-hand footwear programme,
- selective collection system for used footwear together with infrastructure supporting the renovation process,
- information and educational campaign on the circular economy, responsible footwear use and extending product life.
What will change for our customers?
The project will enable the creation of solutions allowing Marco Shoes customers to:
- use footwear repair and renovation services,
- extend the period of use of purchased products,
- hand over used footwear for re-use or recycling,
- use solutions that help them choose the right size and reduce the number of returns.
Planned outcomes
We assume:
- a reduction in leather waste of at least 5%,
- a reduction in foam waste from 15% to 10%,
- the renovation of at least 1 000 pairs of footwear annually,
- the collection of at least 500 pairs of used footwear annually,
- the transfer of 1 tonne of waste annually for recycling.
